Can an infrastructure be seen as a public space?
An exhibition and lecture series in CIUL show us and discuss the construction process and the importance of this infrastructure in the city and in the transformation of Lisbon region. The exhibition 50 Anos Ponte 25 de Abril: memórias em arquivo is the result of a research by the Lisbon Municipal Archive, based on photographs, blueprints and projects from its collection. On the 20th and 27th October several lectures present the complexity of the bridge: from its structural issues to the impact on the urban planning instruments.
